Gree Constructs Phase II Project of its Hefei Factory

At the end of 2009, Gree s Hefei factory began its phase II project, a compressor project whose production capacity will reach six million units each year. At the beginning of 2010, the factory will also begin to construct its motor project, the production capacity of which is projected at ten million motors each year. Both the projects should be operational by the second half of 2010. All the key components needed by Gree s Hefei factory will be produced in the same city by that time.
After formally being put into operation in December 2008, it has only taken Gree s Hefei factory one year to produce 4.2 million air conditioners, the sales value of which was more than RMB 10 billion (about US$1.5 billion).
