CSR dispatches MUs to Georgia

On September 26, 3 MU trains 12 vehicles manufactured by CSR Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co. Ltd. for Georgian Railways were delivered from Shanghai seaport, China. This is CSR Puzhen s first export project in an effort to develop the overseas market.

The contract of Georgia MU project was signed on August 2007 . CSR Puzhen has, according to the geographic environment and climatic characteristics of George, made innovations in lightweight design, human-oriented design and winter-proofing design of vehicles with the conception of lean manufacture as well as internationally advanced design software and adopted meticulous manufacturing conception, thus meeting international advanced standards in technical performance and quality.

Among the three MU trains, two are formed by a motor car and a trailer car and one is formed by four motor cars and four trailer cars. All the MUs are powered by a direct current of 3,000 volts with the design speed of 130kmph. The head is streamlined and in drum structure; and the body adopts window strap structure, new drum-type plug doors and other advanced designs and processes.
