2008 "Midea" China Classic Launched

On May 12, 2008, Midea Group held a press conference at the Royal Orchid International Golf Club, Shunde to announce that the 2008 "Midea" China Classic was launched and the pressing preparation stage begun. Huang Xiaoming, Vice President of the general title sponsor Midea Group, Kyi Hla Han, Executive Chairman of the Asian Tour, the China Golf Association, the Guangdong Golf Association, the Leading Group Office of the Shunde District Government, Chen Chaoxing, General Manager of the communication agency Forward Golf Management Group, and Liang Guoping, General Manager of the venue the Royal Orchid International Golf Club, were present.
The "Midea" China Classic was founded in 2005 and has been held successfully for three times. Through the "riple jump" in the past three years, it became the first stop of the Asian PGA Tour in 2007 and increased total bonus to 400,000 US dollars. In 2008, the "Midea" China Classic was announced to be held at the Royal Orchid International Golf Club, Shunde during October 16-19 with further increased bonus.
