Midea donates RMB10 million for Wenchuan Earthquake Relief

14:28 Beijing time (06:28 GMT), May 12, an earthquake measuring 8 on Richter scale struck Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China, and 16 provinces in total were affected. Death toll so far exceeded 30, 000, with the latest number of casualties to be calculated. This is one of rare and most destructive natural disasters on earth.
Love is hope. 100,000 Midea employees?hearts are those who are suffering in the affected areas despite of the long distance. In the last two days, Midea employees from different subsidiary groups and companies actively participated in the internal donation campaigns and offered their best contributions to the suffered areas.
In addition to the first lot of RMB 3 million, Midea group had increased to offer a donation of RMB 10 million in total. What is more, Midea Purifying Equipment Company made quick actions to donate the water purifiers to the affected areas to help to solve drinking water problem.
