Jinan, June 20 ---- Three springs were newly discovered in Lingyan Temple, which are closely located. Meanwhile, along with the steady implementation of the Planning on Scenic Spots of Lingyan Temple 2006-2025 and Preservation Planning for Cultural Relics of Lingyan Temple, the surroundings in and out of the scenic spots have been fundamentally changed.

The scenic spot of the springs is located to the east of Daxiong Temple and Wuhua Temple relics. The newly-found three springs are Zhuoxi Spring, Shuanghe Spring, and Baihe Spring separately, which have been recorded in Lingyan Records and old poems and are the relatively famous ones in history of Jinan.

Later on, the three springs were jammed by the slush rushing down from mountain and buried by sundries. When the construction smoothly goes forward according to the Plan this spring, the three springs were found; among them a spring pool built in ancient times in Shuanghe (Double Crane) Spring for Buddhists taking water was well preserved.

On this basis, spring pools and wooden corridors for rest are built. The spring water sprouts out of the spring pool everyday and flows across half of the temple along the spring brook, adding more charm to Lingyan Temple.

The renovation of Lingyan Temple attracts great attention of state, provincial, and municipal cultural relic departments, and is granted large amount of funds every year. said Wang Chuanchang, director of Lingyan Temple Management Committee for Scenic Spots. Currently, the renovation project which will last for five years now has progressed to the second phase, and the tourism environment in and outside the scenic spots turning brand new.
