The opening ceremony of the Ordos project invested by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. was held in the equipment manufacturing base in Dongsheng District, Ordos city, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on May 17th. It is Chery's third production base built outside of Anhui province after bases in Dalian and Kaifeng.
Ordos base primarily produces SUVs, Pick-ups, commercial vehicles and modified cars. It plans to start with automobile spare parts production and finally develop into a base with a production capacity of 300,000 units. This project is invested by Chery and its spare parts partners with a fund of 20 billion yuan. It is expected to be completed during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan".
