In the Opening Ceremony of the 6th World Choir Games, the peace bell will be ringed to hope for world peace and harmony, according to the WCG Arts Director Mr. Ralf Eisenbeiss. It is the 5th time he is nominated as the arts director, concerning the jobs including the Opening Ceremony, the Closing/Award Ceremony, choir competitions and the organization of the concerts or shows, etc.
The Opening Ceremony constitutes of three parts, namely, the ceremony itself, artistic shows, and choir shows. The first part will be similar with the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games including flag rising, anthem playing, speeches of the leaders, march of the participanting countries, and the most important, ringing the peace bell. In the following artistic and choir shows, foreign and Shaoxing local groups or choirs will present the audience with wonderful performances. The last programme is the theme song of the WCG, that is, the Date of Hearts.
The 6th WCG will have 50 ajudicators, home and abroad, covering the nationalities of australian, American, Canadian, Dane, German, and Singaporean."Every adjdicator is honoured in the arena of choirs worldwide and they are brilliant conductors themselves. They have unprejudiced judgments,"said Eisenbeiss.
When asked what is the most wonderful point of the 6th WCG, Eisenbeiss said we should wait for the Opening Ceremony to see it ourselves.
