Shaoxing-Yesterday, the office of the international organization committee of the 6th World Choir Games was like a global village. The staff with different skin colors and speaking different languages was busy working for the Games. In 3 days, the 6th World Choir Games, the choir Olympics, was to be held in Shaoxing. Shaoxing is now ready to embrace the guests from all over the world.
In the office of the international organization committee, all the preparations about the Games are well under way. "Now we already have staff from Germany, Hungary, and Singapore working in the organization committee. More and more international staff will join us in these 2 days," Liuheng, a staff member with INTERKULTUR Foundation told the reporter.
"We have made good preparations for the Games. There have been so many changes happened in this city. The choir villages are now open, and all the competition venues are ready," a leader of the organizing committee said. Some choirs will get to Shaoxing this evening and most choirs are expected to arrive on July 14 and 15.
On the evening of July 15, the opening ceremony of 6th World Choir Games and the celebrations of the 2500th anniversary of Shaoxing will be held in International Convention & Exhibition Center of China Textile City.This ceremony is designed and implemented under the guidance of a directing team from CCTV and will be broadcast in CCTV Channel 4. The team is rehearsing the ceremony these days in the hope of presenting to our audience an international performance with unique Shaoxing flavor.
