This year is the International Year of Biodiversity . 2010 International Marine Eco-Civilization (Wenzhou) Forum opened in Zhejiang on Oct.17.
As one activity on the agenda of International Year of Biodiversity in China, the participating experts will take Biodiversity and Marine Eco-Civilization as its theme and discuss such topics as the protection and sustainable utilization of biodiversity, the construction of marine reserve, and networking.
During the forum, there will be special exhibitions, displaying the achievements that have been made by Nanji Islands National Marine Nature Reserve in marine ecosystem protection in the past 20 years. In addition, the plaque-presenting ceremony of Wenzhou Marine Research Institute is also held in Wenzhou during the forum.
