The 2010 Sino-US Seminar on Law was held in Zhejiang on October 18th. The seminar, with the legal system of export promotion and trade remedy as its theme, was organized by the Ministry of Commerce, the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, the U.S. Department of Commerce and People s Government of Zhejiang Province.
During the seminar, experts and officials from the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration and Import Administration introduced U.S. National Export Initiative, non-market economy status, the application of the U.S. Anti-subsidy Law as well as the procedure system of U.S. Trade Remedy Law. Experts from China commented on the talk addressed by U.S. experts.
Participants all agreed that this seminar contributed to a further understanding of U.S. legal system of export promotion and trade remedy as well as their procedure and practice and helped Chinese companies to deal with U.S. trade remedies and experts in Law to study American legal system.
