Provincial Leaders sent best wishes to Zhejiang Senior Citizens

October 16 is China s traditional Double Ninth Festival for senior citizens. As a gift to 7.6 million old people in Zhejiang, the two-month-long collection activity of filial piety stories came to a successful end. On the morning of Oct. 14th, twenty Outstanding Zhejiang Figures with Filial Heart were rewarded at the first session of the series activity in the provincial Great Hall of the People.

During the visit to the award winners, Zhao Hongzhu, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, sent best wishes to 7.6 million old people in Zhejiang and expressed congratulations to the representatives of Zhejiang Figures with Filial Heart. He said filial piety is one of traditional Chinese virtues and is also fully representative in the socialist core value system. Carrying out the collection activity of filial piety stories in Zhejiang is of great significance to the further construction of socialist core value system, the advocacy and building up of a favorable social climate, as well as the promotion and cultivation of ethical standards and family virtues throughout the whole province.
