"West Lake Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition", jointly organized by Hangzhou Administration for West Lake Scenic Area and Zhejiang Renmin Bookstore, opened in the headquarters of Renmin Bookstore recently.
The exhibition houses nearly 1,000 works of calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, oil painting and seal cutting by over 200 artists including Chen Depan, head of Taiwan Association of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, and Lin Yongxun, famous painter from Hong Kong, demonstrating the wonderful mix of the natural scenery and humanities and history of the West Lake and creating an atmosphere complimentary to the endeavor of listing the West Lake among world heritage sites. The exhibition will last till November 23.
