On the morning of December 1st, Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee as well as Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress met the visiting African Union delegation headed by Jean Ping, the Union President.
Zhao Hongzhu expressed his cordial welcome to Jean Ping s second visit, and briefly introduced the economic and social accomplishments in Zhejiang. He commented that new progress has been made with respect to exchange and cooperation between Zhejiang and Africa, expressing his confidence in more forthcoming improvements in the bilateral relationship. The continued support from the African Union and his Excellency President remains significant to Zhejiang enterprises in Africa.
