Zhejiang-Turkey Business Cooperation Agreement signed

Zhejiang Province signed a framework agreement of business cooperation with Turkey on the morning of November 3rd, which will enhance bilateral cooperation in economy and trade.

In recent years, much progress has been made in multi-dimensional and multi-level cooperation and exchange between Zhejiang and Turkey. The two sides have conducted fruitful cooperation in fields like economy and trade, agriculture, and textile industry. By the end of August this year, Turkey had established 61 enterprises in Zhejiang with a focus on such areas as textile industry, communication equipments, computers and other electronic equipment manufacturing, wholesale and retail industries. From January to September this year, the trade volume between Zhejiang and Turkey amounted to 2.117 billion US dollars, up 69.76% over the same period last year. It is reported that Zhejiang mainly imports copper scrap and its slag, iron-ore, plastics and so on from Turkey and exports products like ships, knitted or crocheted fabrics, auto components and so forth to Turkey.
