Zhejiang to accelerate development of service outsourcing industry

The provincial government held the first meeting of the leading group of Zhejiang Province Service Outsourcing on November 25. Mr. Chen Min er, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and executive vice-governor, and Mr. Gong Zheng, vice-governor, attended the meeting and gave speeches.

The meeting stressed that all the departments concerned in all localities should be fully aware of the significance of service outsourcing development in economic growth, economic restructuring, increase of employment opportunities and construction of ecological civilization. They should avail themselves of this golden opportunity, take into account realities, highlight key points and accelerate development.

The service outsourcing industry in Zhejiang is in its crucial infancy. In the past two years, the volume of service outsourcing business hit about $8 billion. From January to October this year, offshore outsourcing contract delivery reached $1.14 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 70.28%.
