During the Eleventh Five-year Plan (2006-2010) period, an accumulated fund of 660 million yuan has been dedicated to research and development of the traditional Chinese medicine as well as the education of TCM.
For the last five years, Zhejiang Province has successfully secured 130 billion yuan from the state research and educational funds for TCM, 150 million yuan from the provincial research and educational funds for TCM and 250 billion supporting capital from governments at various levels and work units, thereby ensuring a sustainable and sound development of the scientific and educational work of TCM in the province.
During the Eleventh Five-year Plan period, we have set up 4 core disciplines supported by the provincial government, 5 provincial platforms for scientific innovation in TCM, 57 provincial key disciplines in TCM and 26 provincial key laboratories in TCM.
