Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress, met with Chou Kung-shin, Director of Taipei Palace Museum and his delegation on the afternoon of January 16th.
Zhao Hongzhu extended his warm welcome to the arrival of the delegation and introduced to the guests the economic and social development of Zhejiang Province. He said that Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains is a major representative in China s art history and a unique masterpiece in that the same painting is collected respectively by mainland China and Taiwan. We shall, in light of the principle of mutual communication and cooperation, positively promote a joint exhibition of the first piece of Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, the Broken Mountains, collected by Zhejiang Provincial Museum and the second piece, the Wuyong Version by Taipei Palace Museum to first begin in Taiwan and we expect the Wuyong Version of Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains collected by Taipei Palace Museum to come to mainland China for a joint exhibition.
Chou Kung-shin expressed his gratitude for the reception in Zhejaing and said that he will strongly promote the cultural communication and cooperation between Taiwan and Zhejiang and make contributions to the mutual development in the two districts.
