Zhejiang, a province on the East China Sea, has taken active measures to rescue fish vessels from marine perils in order to ensure the safety of the fishermen and their properties.
Statistics from Zhejiang Provincial Oceanic and Fishery Bureau indicates that the province saved 3,120 fishermen and retrieved a direct loss of 170 million RMB yuan in its 529 relief efforts in the year of 2010 through the mutual assistance of the fishery vessels and the aid from the public service ship.
