Industrial Chain To Develop Circular Economy

Petrochemical is the key sector in XJ. Relying on the rich oil and natural gas resources, XJ continuously extends industrial chains and improves the added value of petrochemical products to promote the sustainable development.
Dushanzi petrochemical's 10-mln-ton oil-refining and 1-mln-ton ethylene project can provide 6.17 million tons of oil refining products and 2.95 million tons of petrochemical products in one year. Some of the products can be the raw materials for petrochemical industrial chain extension, they can also bring along the fine chemical industry, new type materials and other downstream products of petrochemical in the surrounding areas.

XJ decides to build up State's largest oil and natural gas production base, strategic crude oil reserve base, important petrochemical base and fertilizer production reserve base as well as the land passageway for resource safety. Therefore, XJ successively authorized to build up 13 petrochemical and chemical industrial parks, such as Shanshan and Kuqa. The infrastructure construction has begun following the requirements of fine and deep processing at downstream and industrial chain extension.
