XJ,Sinopec Sign Agreement

XJ People's Government signed a strategic cooperative framework agreement with China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group)in Beijing on Sunday afternoon, aiming to further Sinopec's oil and gas exploration in XJ.
Before the signing ceremony, Zhang Chunxian, secretary of CPC XJ Committee had a talk with Su Shulin, chairman of Sinopec Corp.

Nuer Baikeli, deputy secretary of CPC XJ Committee, chairman of XJ Uygur Autonomous Region and Su Shulin, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides.

As agreed, Sinopec will increase its investment in XJ's oil and gas exploration, and quicken the construction of coal chemical projects in East Junggar Basin and Ili. Besides, it will support XJ to construct key oil refining and chemical base in China, strengthen oil products sales and network construction, and build up oilfields and chemical equipment manufacturing base in XJ.
