Successful Test Operation

On Monday, the world largest single serial 1-million-ton hydrocarbon integration facility succeeded in test operation and produced quality products in Urumqi Petrochemical Company.

Urumqi Petrochemical's 1-million-ton hydrocarbon integration facility is the key project in PetroChina's 11th Five-Year Plan. Invested with 3.8 billion yuan, the project has 8 units of equipments, and 95 percent of them are homemade. The key ones are all designed and made in China, the highest record of its kind.

LI SHIXIN, VICE GM URUMQI PETROCHEMICAL CO., PETROCHINA:

"We can refine 1 million tons of chemical raw material from oil every year, to produce polyester fibre. It can bring at least 18 billion yuan production value annually for XJ's textile industry."
