Ultra-Deep Wwll In China

Tarim Oilfield has drilled 8023 meters in Keshen No.7 well, and seen the oil and gas. The well is 523 meters deeper than Moshen No.1 well in 2008, and becomes the present deepest oil well on land in China.

Keshen No.7 well is a key exploratory well deployed by PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company in Kuqa County. During its drilling period, Tarim Oilfield Company used a 9000-meter electronic driller developed by our country, and adopted series of techniques about ultra-deep well exploitation for the first time, making 11 new records.

Presently, beside China, there are only few countries using self-developed drillers in ultra-deep well exploitation, such as America and Russia.
