On the afternoon of December 22th, Zhao Zhengyong, member of the Standing Committee of Provincial CPC and Standing Vice-Governor, met with Wang An, General Manager of China National Coal Group (ChinaCoal), and his group in Xi an Renmin Square. Both sides exchanged views on the issues of Chinacoal investment in Shaanxi project into Shaanxi development plan, independently developing and building Shaanxi coal chemical industry and extending the cooperation with PetroChina.
In the meeting, Wang firstly expressed his thanks to the support provided by Provincial CPC and Government in the ChinaCoal investment and construction in Shaanxi, then introduced the process of ChinaCoal investment and construction in Shaanxi. On June 10th, ChinaCoal and Provincial Government signed the Strategic Cooperative Frame Agreement. Both sides stated that they would exert respective strengths, build strategic cooperation relationship, and realize complementary advantages and common development according to national strategy of energy development and Three Transformations of Energy Chemical Base Construction in Northern Shaanxi. The Provincial Government provided support for ChinaCoal to participate in the construction of Energy Chemical Base Construction in Northern Shaanxi, optimize the industrial structure and improve the comprehensively competitive power of enterprises. ChinaCoal will further improve the investment in the fields of coal machines, coal chemistry, colliery and building materials, and make more contributions in the rapid development of Shaanxi economy and society.
Zhao greatly welcomed ChinaCoal investment in Shaanxi and actively participation in the Energy Chemical Base Construction in Northern Shaanxi. He said, abundant coal resources in Shaanxi absorbed lots of large-scale enterprises from home and abroad to invest in Shaanxi. Despite late cooperation between ChinaCoal and Shaanxi, the process of the project went very well and the foreground of cooperation of both sides was very good.
He also said that it was the ending of eleventh five-year plan next year, and hoped that ChinaCoal would seize the opportunity to further expedite the construction of the projects. Meanwhile, Zhao required that relevant departments should make filed work at regular intervals and provide excellent services for enterprises investing in Shaanxi.
