On the morning of April 10, Vice Governor Zhu Jingzhi met, in Xi an, with An Zongji, director of the Regional Commerce Division of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, and his fellows who came to attend the Shaanxi-Korean Economic Cooperation Forum.
In recent few years, the friendly exchange, and economic exchange and cooperation between Shaanxi Province and Korea have been enhanced continuously. In 2006, Korean Embassy in China successfully held the China Shaanxi-Korea Friendly Week in Xi an. In 2007, Shaanxi Province held the China Shaanxi-Korea Cooperation Week in Seoul and Bushan, Korea.
The cooperation week achieved fruitful results. In September of the same year, Korea set up Consulate General in Xi an. In August 2009, Korean Trade Investment and Rejuvenation Society set up a representative office in Xi an. Currently, Korea has become the sixth trade partner and third customer source country of inbound tourism of Shaanxi.
Shaanxi Province and Korea have good cooperation basis in many sectors, in particular, they have wide cooperation space in many industries such as energy and chemical industry, culture and tourism, high-tech, environmental protection and new energy.
