After a visit to Mongolia, Governor Yuan Chunqing led a delegation of Shaanxi Provincial People s Government to pay a visit to Ukraine and Poland in east Europe on April 22 to April 28. The visit aims at promoting the economic and trade cooperation between both sides.
On April 22 of local time, Governor Yuan Chunqing met with Kravchuk, former President of Ukraine and Honorary President of Ukraine-China Friendship Association at Kiev. Both sides have a talk on further consolidating the achievements of Euro-Asia Economic Forum, enhancing the information exchange and carrying out friendly cooperation in multiple sectors and layers.
Governor Yuan Chunqing introduced the development of advantageous industries such as coal, aviation and heavy auto of Shaanxi. He said that Ukraine boasts rich natural resources, profound industrial basis, and enjoys special advantages in equipment manufacturing and aviation industry. Therefore, it has good cooperation basis and industrial supplementation with Shaanxi.
It is believed that both sides will have a wider cooperation prospective with the assistance of Ukraine-China Friendship Association. On invitation of Governor Yuan Chunqing, Kravchuk agreed to act as councilor of the Council of Euro-Asia Economic Forum, and indicated the willingness to attend the meeting of the Council of Euro-Asia Economic Forum to be held in Xi an in this June.
After negotiations, both sides signed the MOU on cooperation between Shaanxi and Ukraine-China Friendship Association, and determined to cooperate with each other in a broad manner in sectors such as trade, economy and technology, tourism, machine manufacturing, aviation, heavy auto, coal and infrastructure construction, including sending of teachers and students to each places to promote the exchanges between universities of both places.
Odessa is the biggest port city and important industrial town in Ukraine. Located along the bank of the Black Sea, the port has trade relationships with over 200 ports in 60 countries worldwide, and is regarded as the Pearl of Black Sea. On April 23, Governor Yuan Chunqing came to Odessa to conduct a survey and investigation on the port.
He also met with Walla Lyudmila, Vice Governor of Odessa State, and Antorio Vorojayev, Deputy Mayor of Odessa City respectively. Both sides have talks on friendly cooperation. Yuan Chunqing introduced in details the situations of Shaanxi Province, and the development situations of technology and education, energy industry and equipment manufacturing industry.
He hoped to seek for more cooperation through the information exchange and enterprise connection of both sides. Walla Lyudmila and Antorio Vorojayev said that the visit of Governor Yuan Chunqing creates new opportunities for cooperation of both sides. They expect that both sides would have more exchanges in the future, and achieve mutual-beneficiary cooperation results.
Wu Xiaoying, Consul General of Chinese Consulate General in Odessa, accompanied Yuan Chunqing during his visit in Odessa.
During his visit in Poland, Yuan Chunqing talked with Puchimicherski, Governor of Silesia Province, on cooperation of both sides in culture, technology, tourism, mining and machinery industries, with common understandings reached. Puchimicherski said that he will visit Shaanxi Province when attending the World Expo Shanghai. At that time, both sides could further talk on establishment of friendly ties between the two provinces again.
After that, Governor Yuan Chunqing attended the China, Shaanxi Poland, Silesia Province Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair held by the Shaanxi Provincial People s Government at Katowice City, Silesia Province, and delivered an enthusiastic speech. In his speech, he introduced the development advantages of Shaanxi from aspects such as traffic, history and culture, scientific and technologicl education, and natural resources, hoping to further promote the cooperation and matching of both sides in mining equipment, energy and chemical industry, and culture and tourism industries through the fair.
Adam Stahe, Vice Governor of Silesia attended the fair and delivered a speech. He said that he will grasp the opportunity of the fair to further enhance the cooperation and exchanges between Silesia Province and Shaanxi Province. After the fair, Yuan Chunqing visited the local mining equipment manufacturing company Lemark.
The company has great supplementation with coal mine machinery enterprises of our province. Both sides exchanged opinions cooperation of both sides in an in-depth manner.
On April 29, the delegation of Shaanxi Provincial People s Government headed by Yuan Chunqing, completed the visit successfully and returned to Xi an.
