South China's Guangdong Province sold abroad 1.73 billion USD worth of ships in the first seven months of this year, an increase of 90.4 percent over the same period of last year, according to the provincial customs house.
Of the total, 97.7 percent, or 1.69 billion USD worth, were exported in processing trade, up 93.8 percent year on year.
In June, Guangdong's ship export volume stood at 350 million USD, setting a monthly record, and in July, the figure was 340 million dollars, up 170 percent year on year.
