The ninth Star Cup China Art Festival held an awarding ceremony in Zhongshan Memorial Hall in Guangzhou last night. Zhongshan won six awards, including the Outstanding Contribution Award for Zhongshan Government; Star of Talents Award for Zheng Jisi, Director-general of the Bureau of Culture of Zhongshan; Star Award of Music for Zhongshan Chorus Group, Star Award of Dancing for Selecting Village Officials , Star Award of Folk Art for the program the First-class Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine , and Star Award of Activities for the Zhongshan Countryside Chorus Competition.
It is learnt that the six awards scored a record high in both quality and quantity of the city s history.
