China's largest steel structure plant was completed in Guangzhou last week, also making the provincial capital the world's biggest nuclear power processing base. The 509 RMB nuclear power plant, a three-stage construction project of Dongfang Electric Estuary Base jointly constructed by Guangzhou Construction Group Co., Ltd. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangzhou Hengsheng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., is part of a post-disaster reconstruction plan of Dongfang Electric Group, covering an area of 56,640 square meters.
The Dongfang plant contains five complete 1,000 MW nuclear island generators and 16 moisture separator re-heaters, a breakthrough in the development of mass production in China's nuclear power equipment.
