South China's Guangdong Province sold 1.73 billion USD worth of ships in the first seven months of this year to overseas buyers, an increase of 90 percent over the same period of last year, according to the provincial customs officials. Of the total, nearly 98 percent, or 1.69 billion USD worth, were exported in processing trade, up 93.8 percent year on year. In June, Guangdong's ship export volume stood at 350 million USD, setting a monthly record and in July, the figure was 340 million USD, up 170 percent year on year.
