[Week 36, 2010] Electric Bus Route Starts Operation Before Asian Games

Guangzhou officials last week announced a plan to put more alternative-energy vehicles on the road including 26 electric buses during the Asian Games. The new buses will be servicing the route between the University Town and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Bus fare will be determined by price authorities. Electric buses are energy efficient and produce minimal noise and emissions. Route coding, station setting, and fare evaluation are currently underway for this eco-friendly route.
