The fair will be held from May 13 to 16 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District and at subvenues across the city.
Delegations from 31 provinces and cities had confirmed they would attend the fair, according to the organizing committee of the fair at a meeting Friday.
A total of 1,616 exhibitors had confirmed they would attend. Of these, 40 percent were leading cultural companies, including Shanghai Media Group, Wenhui Xinmin United Press Group and Capital Museum.
There will be more than seven exhibition halls in the exhibition center. A new hall for intangible cultural heritage would be designated this year featuring classic intangible cultural heritage products from around the world. All booths in the new hall had already been booked, the organizing committee said.
Several forums on the Chinese cultural industry development would conducted during the fair.
Meanwhile, several subvenues for the Sixth ICIF were awarded at the meeting. Companies including Huaqiang Cultural Technology Group and the Tianmian City of Design received first prize for outstanding contribution to the fair.
Other award-winning companies included Shenzhen Book City CBD Store, Shenzhen Design Industrial Park, Shenzhen National Animation Industrial Base and Dafen Oil Painting Village.
There were 30 subvenues at the last year's fair.
