It is learnt from Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce that credit rating system and credit classification system will be adopted in auto 4S shops (Sale, Spare-part, Service and Survey) and will be supervised by the Administration.
"The Administration and the relevant industrial association will select the Model Shops." said the officers from the Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce. Complaint from consumers is one of the crucial factors for rating, which means a 4S shop who receives many complaints will be of low credit rate. The Administration will also invite experts to make reviews on the 4S shops and will issue sample contract for consumers to protect against overbearing terms of sale.
4S shops that deliberately put off and unjustifiably refuse to reasonable complaints will receive administrative penalty.
According to Guangzhou Consumer Council, there were 2343 cases of complaint on automobiles in 2010, up by 110% from the previous year. Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce will rectify the order of auto 4S markets to protect the legal rights and interests of the consumers.
