A large investment promotion meeting will be held in Guangzhou in June with for theme "Private Sector Companies Gather in GD, Jointly Promote Transformation and Upgrading."
Earlier this week (March 8th), the Guangdong Government promoted the event in Beijing with the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce to invite renowned domestic enterprises to visit Guangzhou.
Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua promised that Guangdong will provide better services as well as a better business environment to facilitate trade in the province.
Meanwhile, Guangdong Vice-Governor Tong Xing explained during press conference recently that the Pearl River Delta will mainly focus on developing high-tech industries whilst traditional industries will be encouraged to relocate to western, eastern and northern Guangdong.
Tong Xing explained that "this time, investment should attract more projects in strategic emerging industries, advanced manufacturing industries, modern service industries and high-tech industries."
