Mr. Deng Zhigang, a Vice Mayor of Dongguan, together with Dongguan Humen Port administration kicked off a visit to Taiwan for port cooperation on July 7.
The delegation will discuss with ports in Taiwan concrete cooperative programs in various fields, including harbor development and management, opening new routes and cooperation in logistics. Humen Port was among the ports in Chinese Mainland to open direct shipment to Taiwan when Chinese Mainland and Taiwan agreed to allow civilian planes and ships to directly cross the Taiwan Straits in 2008.
