The Guangdong social security card holders in the cities of Guangzhou and Zhuhai now can enjoy inter-city medical services since June 6.
There are now 180,000 social security card holders in Guangzhou and Zhuhai who can use the cards in 10 designated hospitals and three drug stores. Before the card holders could only pay for in-patient expenses in different cities. This cross-city policy is new and should be extended to the rest of the province in the future.
