Eleven people died at the scene and two others were seriously injured when a heavy tractor truck crashed into a bus, which subsequently hit a car Sunday (Aug 1) in south China's Guangdong Province, the local government said early Monday.
The pile-up happened at 5:32 p.m. Sunday in Gushui Town of Guangning County in Zhaoqing City, the provincial government's emergency office said in a press release shortly after midnight.
It said the tractor truck was from the provincial capital Guangzhou and the car was registered in Shenzhen. The bus was from Zhaoqing.
It did not identify the victims.
The two injured are still being treated Monday and an investigation has been launched.
