Representatives from more than 100 travel agencies visited the greenways during a tourism promotion seminar earlier in Zengcheng.
Construction of the much-anticipated Guangzhou greenways has been progressing steadily. As of the end of July, 69 percent of the greenways have been completed. In September, six greenways with a total length of 480 kilometers will be completed and begin trial operations. The greenways link up more than 70 tourist attractions and 51 towns and sub-districts in 12 districts and county-level cities. They are meant to provide space for eco-tourism.
