Public bicycles are quickly gaining popularity among local residents.
All of the planned 106 public bicycle rental outlets along the BRT line were completed last week, making it easier for local residents to travel by this low-carbon mode of transportation.
The public bicycle rental system, which originally had only 18 outlets around Tianhe Park and Huajing New City, has now been expanded to 106 ones at Tianhe and along Zhongshan Avenue in Huangpu District, including 48 ones along the BRT route. With more rental outlets, the number of local residents renting bicycles is increasing.
The first 18 rental outlets at bus terminuses began operation in June 22, and in just two months, the number of outlets was increased to more than 100.
The outlet at Xiayuan Station on the eastern end of the BRT line was put into service on August 10.
