Guangzhou was ranked 57th in The 2010 Global Cities Index, a collaboration among Foreign Policy, management consulting firm A.T. Kearney, and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, according to Foreign Policy on August 15th. The Index measures influence cities' integration with global markets, culture, and innovation.
The index was topped by New York City, followed by Hong Kong at 5th, Beijing at 15th, Shanghai at 20th, Taipei at 39th, Guangzhou at 57th, Shenzhen at 62nd, and Chongqing at 65th.
