Shenzhen will recruit more than 1,000 professionals for senior positions from overseas in mid-September, the city's human resources authority said Monday (Aug 16).
The overseas recruitment, organized by the city's foreign experts affairs bureau, is assessing the demand in fields such as finance, high-tech, culture, high-end services and higher education.
Private companies should submit applications before tomorrow and each organization could send a delegation to participate in the overseas recruitment.
Recruiting will be conducted in Tokyo, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The first group of overseas offices for high-caliber talent affairs will also be opened during the recruitment campaign to facilitate the recruitment of international talent.
Shenzhen will also set up the Shenzhen Innovative and Start-ups Talent Introduction Center.
The city government first went abroad to recruit talent in 1992. This year will be the seventh time the city government has gone abroad to recruit overseas talent.
The 2010 Conference on International Exchange of Professionals, to be held in Shenzhen on Oct. 29 and 30, will be promoted overseas during the recruitment campaign.
