The Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology (OCS) serves as a human resource pool providing professional staff for domestic enterprises. Held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center from December 20th to December 22nd, 2010, the 13th session of the convention shall focus on recruiting talents to lead the development of the high-tech industry, in particular innovation-driven industries.
Organized by the Ministry of Education, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the Guangzhou Government, the OCS is a state-level platform for communication between high-level foreign professionals. This year, 60% of participants are PhD degree holders, and some non-ethnic Chinese shall even be present.
