The 108th China Export Commodities Fair, more commonly known as the Canton Fair, shall be held at the Pazhou Complex from October 15th to November 4th. Although the transaction volume isn't expected to increase compared to the last session, the organizers have announced that the number of exhibitors and booths shall increase slightly. This has led them to raise the rent for a booth back to pre-crisis levels.
The main novelty this year shall be the extension of the international pavilion into the third phase, focusing mainly on foodstuff and medical equipment. In addition, a branded-products zone shall be opened to attract well established companies.
The exhibition space shall cover 1.13 million square meters, divided into 15 categories. So far, over 23,000 enterprises have signed up to exhibit at the fair, including 404 foreign companies. The organizers have sent out 910,000 invitations to purchasers, an increase of 5.8% compared to the spring session.
