Around 1,000 enterprises from 50 countries and regions will take part in the China International Logistics and Transportation Fair to be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from Oct 15 to 17.
Manufacturers such as Huawei, ZTE and BYD, as well as businesses including Wal-Mart, Gome and CRC Vanguard, have registered to purchase at the fair.
Covering 52,500 sqm, the fair will be divided into seven exhibition areas land transportation, modern logistics, port services, air transportation, logistics facilities, IT and e-business, said Ke Linchun, deputy department chief of the Ministry of Transport.
This is first year the Ministry of Science and Technology has co-organized the fair, an annual event which has been held in the city for three years. It will become the only logistics fair organized by the ministry.
"The fair will help build Shenzhen, which leads in China's logistics services, into an international logistics hub," Ke said.
During the three-day fair, more than 10 forums will help participants share new ideas and experiences, and to understand government policies in logistics.
The added value delivered by Shenzhen's logistics industry reached 78.9 billion RMB in 2009, double that of 2004.
