Guangzhou residents can now apply locally for a tourist visa to visit Spain. Previously, such visa applications by Guangzhou residents needed to be sent to Beijing, and those who were selected were forced to at their own cost to travel to and from Beijing for a visa interview.
Huang Jingru, Europe sector general manager of GZL outbound tourism department, said that a tourist visa for Spain usually takes seven working days to process, and the total period will exceed 14 business days plus the time of express post to Beijing and return. So this new positive development is very convenient for Guangzhou tourists wishing to travel to Spain, since in terms of time and costs, they can now lodge their visa direct in their home city Guangzhou.
