From information available from Ctrip, in the one month count down to the Asian Games, offering price on all starred hotels in Guangzhou rose over 60% compared to their ordinary prices for bookings. The two stars grade and economic hotels' offering price were 300 yuan, the three stars grade hotels' price 400 yuan, the four stars grade hotels' price 670 yuan, with the five star grade hotels'prices being 1400 yuan. Generally speaking, all starred hotels' offering prices rose over 60% comparing that of non-peak periods with four stars grade hotels' rising 90%, and five stars hotels' price increased to over 100% of normal price setting.
