Baiyun International Airport will fully launch special security measures for the Asian Games since October 26, including closing some channels of the terminal building, implementing one-way access control to the open-channel, adding explosion-proof security channel to all entrances, and all personnel entering the terminal building shall be subject to examination.
Meanwhile, the Airport Highway and other major roads connected to Baiyun Airport will have added security canopies, checking the entering vehicles occasionally. Also during this period, Baiyun Airport will implement special traffic control measures.
The existing second regular security check before boarding, focuses on checking identity of boarding passengers and proofing that they carry no prohibited items. The procedure will be to separate people and items, and provided passengers do not carry prohibited items, the checking time will not exceed 30 seconds.
The Airport Police require all people and drivers entering the airport precinct should bring along their own own ID card, driving license and vehicle license. All truck drivers need to provide the list of goods being supplied, and all personnel should not bring prohibited items, and should plan the driving direction ahead. Travelers should also allow sufficient time and cooperate with the upgraded inspection actively, so as to avoid any delays in their trip.
