Staff in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport welcomes the 40 millionth traveler (Southern Metropolis Daily)
On Dec. 23rd, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport welcomed its 40 millionth passenger this year, a historic moment for Guangzhou, possibly having made it into the world's top 15 airports. The airport plans to launch new flight routes from Guangzhou to all capital cities across Southeast Asia, as well as San Francisco and Vancouver in north America and Melbourne in Australia.
Currently, Baiyun Airport has 120 domestic flight routes and 90 international ones. More than 100,000 passengers fly out of Guangzhou everyday on one of the 900 flights operated by nearly 40 airline companies.
