The Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau reviewed Guangzhou's efforts in improving people's livelihood and perfecting the social insurance system.
Cui Renquan, Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said that by attaching great importance to Guangzhou people's livelihood and giving priority to enriching Guangzhou people, Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Guangzhou Municipal Government have achieved great results in boosting employment and perfecting social insurance system.

Cui also said that in order to boost employment, Guangzhou has taken the initiative in stepping up efforts to help the unemployed. In the last five years, Guangzhou offered training to 292,000 rural labor forces and assisted 282,000 unemployed Guangzhou people in finding employment.
With year-by-year expansion of social insurance coverage, the number of Guangzhou citizens under social insurance has reached 20,721,200 by the end of November this year.
