A list of the top 50 Chinese cities with the strong potential for investment was unveiled on January 1 at the seventh Annual Conference of the World Famous Brands Assembly. The list was topped by Shanghai, followed by Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Taipei, Kaoshiung, Guangzhou, and Kunming.
Chow Kongshankwan, president of the US-China Economic Trade and Investment General Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the World Famous Brands Assembly, said that the conference was aimed at promoting the collaboration between Chinese cities and enterprises and European, American and Asian business communities, sharing the success experiences of global cities and the world's top 500 brands, facilitating innovation in cities and enterprises through interaction, establishing win-win partnerships, and helping cities and enterprises to pursue internalization and diversification of their brands, thereby promoting sustained regional economic growth and harmonious and healthy social development.
The seventh Annual Conference of the World Famous Brands Assembly was co-organized by the World Brands Organization, the US-China Economic Trade and Investment General Chamber of Commerce, the European, American and Asian Business Communities Partnership Alliance, and the Organization for Global Cooperation towards Harmonious and Healthy Society. The conference was themed around "promoting development through innovation and achieving win-win results through cooperation".
