An announcement has been made by the Guangzhou Local Taxation Bureau that as of Dec. 1st, all foreign businesses subject to value-added tax, consumption tax and business tax need to pay construction tax and education supplementary tax as well.
The bureau has indicated, that when the time limit is due, those businesses failing to pay construction tax will be imposed an overdue fine. The fine for each overdue day is five-ten thousandth of the total delinquent tax payment.
